Is it safe to leave the screenplay director running all the time? Or should i only turn it on when i need to use it?
- I don't know about the director's modes, if it has a standby mode that reduces power, if it shuts off the hard drive while not in use. I guess shutting it off depends on your priorities in life. Energy conservation vs convenience. My ScreenPlay Pro HD's external drives get pretty warm even while not being used, so I shut mine off rather than have a concentrated heat buildup in the entertainment center. Since we don't use the screenplay much anymore, it isn't an issue for us to wait 20 seconds for the startup. --JCoug 15:16, August 18, 2011 (UTC)
